Quite possibly one of the most corrupt small towns in the entire country, the Village of Rosemont is located just northwest of the city of Chicago. A small village with a population of around 4500 that has entertainment venues, hotels and restaurants to attract visitors and provide the town with it's vast, never-ending source of revenues. Rosemont has a police force of well over 100 officers and nearly 500 auxiliary/ part-time officers. The village has turned into a police state, allowing only certain people into its community! If you didn't know the seedy, dark underbelly on how things are run, you might think that the village was a nice, clean place compared to other small towns. WRONG! The Village of Rosemont, as a whole, is great at the art of deception. This attitude comes straight from the top and has been in place since the town was incorporated  over 50 years ago. Don't let the appearance of the village fool you though, the town is overflowing with corruption, cronyism, closed door deals, and just about every other possible way to gain power over their residents, the county and state. Here are some of the rumors that have permeated the village: 

 The town is hated by every neighboring village around it due to the village's arrogance from the elected officials down to the village employees and residents. The courts have found that the police department have no credibility and routinely throw out their cases due to lack substance. The police department has been sued numerous times for excessive force and bans have been placed on police officers to stay out of the local bars due to all the fights they've gotten into. The Chief of police himself (nephew of the current Mayor), who received the job, not do to his competence or experience but due to the fact he was given the job by the former Mayor (his grandfather) just before he passed away. The village has never been able to control it's crime and drug problems since the town has it's share of addicts who work for the village. Also, if you don't vote and vote for the people in POWER, the employees job maybe at risk, this is only one way in which they maintain their control. The village has been trying to get gambling in their town for over a decade,  they placed a bid that doubled the other townships but still were denied by the state due to a long history of mobster related associations and the village's propensity for corruption. Just ask Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan. Can you imagine a town that brings in $50 million in revenue (remember only 4500 people live in the village), being in control of a village run casino? Thankfully, the Illinois Attorney General saw that the Village of Rosemont has proven time and time again that they're not worthy of such a responsibility! Rosemont has one purpose and one purpose only, to provide the Mayor and his family with power! The propaganda the village spews-out that they care for their residents in nothing more than a JOKE! There's no reason to even enter the town unless you're just passing through. The hotels and restaurants are over-priced due the the high taxes to provide the village with it insatiable need for money. The venues are old and out-dated and remodeling is done only to cover up the cracks in the foundation. The village is about smoke and mirrors! The police for will pull you over without probable cause and would have no problem getting out their taser if you were to ask "what's the problem officer?" They remind me of the cops from the movie Magnum Force, totally out of control and answering to no one. The village has hundreds of cameras located on just about every street corner. They even have cameras placed at the drive-thru at McDonald's! Again, the Village of Rosemont is nothing more than a corrupt-police state that feels they are above the LAW! Listen to this warning! Bad things happen in bad towns and this village is worse than bad. The town offers nothing other than making you their next victim!
