RAPPING YOUR ORDER AT THE McDONALD'S DRIVE-THRU IS A "McCRIME!"

Recently some teenagers who live in Utah (American Fork, about 30 miles south of Salt Lake City), went to the McDonald's drive-thru to place their order. Instead of placing the order in a normal fashion, they decided it would be funny if they rapped the order. They started rapping "I need a double cheeseburger and hold the lettuce ..." once quickly before repeating it more slowly. The only problem was the McDonald's employee taking the order didn't find it so amusing. The employee repeatedly asked the teenagers to place their order in a way that she could understand them but her request fell on deaf ears. The manager than came out and complained to the teenagers that they were holding up the line in the drive-thru and that they needed to place an order or leave. The teenagers left without placing an order, but as they were leaving the employee (not the manager), wrote down the vehicle's license plate number and called the police. The teenagers were found a little while later while attending a school volleyball game and were given citations for disorderly conduct.
The teenagers stated to the police that they were just having fun and were copying what that had recently seen other kids do on a YouTube video. They also stated that they didn't mean to cause any harm and there was no one behind them in line when they were rapping their order. And they left the drive-thru when they were told leave by the restaurant manager. The employee at McDonald's who called the police stated that this wasn't about them rapping their order, it was about the safety of the employees of McDonald's and at the time that this was occurring she was in fear for her safety. She felt she had no other option but to call the authorities.
Mistakes were made on both sides. If the teenagers want to pull a harmless prank or post something funny on YouTube, that's fine with me. They need to keep in mind that if your going to be persistent and keep the prank going, the police may become involved. Do the prank, capture it on video and leave. Then the their is no harm done other that aggravating a McDonald's employee for a couple of minutes. Again, I have no problem with this because I remember the countless times McDonald's aggravated me by getting my order WRONG! As for the employee at McDonald's, she needs to lighten-up. There was no need to call the police and to say your were in fear for your safety is a load of BULLSHIT! The person who works at McDonald's and takes things that seriously needs to look long and hard into the mirror and examine where their life is heading. Furthermore, McDonald's should drop the charges against these teenagers and realize that a fast-food restaurant such as theirs that serves lousy food, provides poor customer service, and has managers that have no clue how to run a restaurant should be more forgiving to it's customers.

I mean the lady works at McDonald's and is old enough to "fear for her safety", how smart do you think she is? I mean you don't know too many 40 year old geniuses making Big Macs. She probably did think she was in danger (but only because she's three quarters of the way retarded).

Wow, what a moron! The kids were just trying to have some fun. I worked drive-thru once, and I can say this would have made my day. That job can get so boring!
"Fearing for her safety", my foot.
