Recently the Peruvian authorities arrested a gang of four, who are being accused in trafficking in human body fat. The report states that the members of the gang would find a victim (presumably someone who was overweight), they would kidnap and take them up into the mountains, proceed to kill them and then extract their  body fat in a rudimentary make-shift lab. The gang would then take the harvested human fat from the mountains to the city of Lima and sell it on the black market to be used in the manufacture of cosmetics. In addition to those gang members taken into custody, the police stated they were still searching for others who bought fat from the gang or might have worked with it. However, authorities are unclear if the more than 60 missing persons reported over the last several months in that area are related to this gang of  body fat traffickers. I've heard of a black market for human organs but nothing like this. 

 My question is: Are things really that bad down in Peru that the citizens are being harvested? Like life wasn't harsh enough, people now have to worry about getting killed, then butchered and having parts of their body sold on the black market. Also, this can't be an isolated case. Crimes just like this maybe going on in several third-world countries that have a tough time sustaining the poorer members of their society. These people are acting far beyond just criminal, they're bringing a touch of EVIL to their crimes that is rarely seen in today's modern civilization. To stalk your victim, them butcher them like an animal and sell their body parts just for a profit.... is UNHUMAN! Also, the buyers of the human fat, who are fully aware of what they were doing, are just as guilty for crimes against humanity as the gangs doing the killings. They both have sold their souls just to make a profit.

 South America has proven time and time again that they aren't a vacation destination, they are a destination of DEATH. I would think any American intending to travel to Peru (or any other of those third-world countries), on vacation or business would be out of their minds. If those gangs would kill their fellow citizens, I'm sure they would have no problem killing a fat American on vacation. Especially  seeing how some Americans have a problem with managing their weight. You go down there after years of eating McDonald's and you would stand out like a cow that has been "beefed-up" by grazing in the pasture for years. The heavier you are, the more money you would be worth. In the past, people down in South America were just happy taking in our vacation dollars, now it seems they may want much more from us!
