Recently a woman (57) living in North Carolina was arrested for selling moonshine while running the Parkview Community Center in Charlotte. Police stated that children were present in the day care center when they sent in an undercover agent to purchase 2 gallons of moonshine. Also arrested that day was an 82 year-old man who was charged with making the moonshine, authorities stated that they seized over 80 gallons of the homemade alcohol. The woman who was charged stated to a local newspaper that she had no clue about the moonshine and was holding the packages for a man in return for $80 dollars and had no idea what was in there. I personally have a feeling that her story will hold no water in a Court of Law.

 I find it truly amazing that this woman is selling moonshine in a day care center full of kids. Obviously this woman would be in the running for Idiot of the Year! Having the old man make his moonshine in the same building as the children is a disaster waiting to happen. The still could explode causing severe damage to the building and it's occupants. Not to mention having the kids find the shine, drink the stuff and end up winding dead, blind or severely ill. If your sitting on 80 gallons of the stuff, I would imagine that the old woman and man have quite the large clientele. 80 gallons is a lot of moonshine! Plus, who the hell is drinking the moonshine to begin with? In every town or city across America there are plenty of liquor stores that are just about on every street corner. They seem quite capable of supplying the people's need for alcohol, so there's no need to start drinking someones moonshine that probably tastes like pure gasoline. Even if they were only charging $5 per gallon I would still have to pass.

 Throw both in jail, levy some hefty fines on their asses, give them community service and definitely make sure these two stay away from children. I'm sure they'll make their moonshine again, once they are released from jail and business will probably be booming again. I would wager money though, that they will get caught again just because of the couple's astounding lack of intelligence.
