Here's Some Proof That Celebrities Do Die In 3's

 With the recent deaths of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson happening within three days of each other made me think of the old wives tale that celebrities die in 3's. I researched the dates and found it happens more often than I thought. The results are from the years 2000 - 2009, choosing only famous people that died within three days of each other. I always tought that they died in three's. This past week was really bad because all three(Michael,Farrah,Ed) were really big stars.

Given the number of celebrities out there, this isn't that surprising surely? I'd wager that if you tried the same thing again with fours, not threes, you'd get a similar result.

It also depends what you define as a celebrity... there are a lot of them about.

The whole point of the article is the legacy or wives tale that celebrity deaths happen in 3's not fours or any other number for that matter, so the comments about death on 4's are really point less. I think it is up to the individual reader also to decide who they consider to be a celebrity.

I think the author deserves an applause for all the research invovled in this article! Good job, great article!
